The moss on this roof, after treatment, has turned white, and the entire plant will die off. Our products kill the entire plant, whether it's moss, mold, mildew or algae. The roots of the plant will naturally detach from the asphalt shingles, and wear off over time.  This method does not damage the shingles as brushing or power washing does.

The moss growing on this shady side of the roof has been treated by our Soft Soap cleaning solution, which has an ingredient that kills the moss, including the roots.  The moss, when dead, turns grey, and the dead roots will loosen their hold on the shingles, wearing off over time.  This is the most effective and least damaging way to remove moss from your roof.
